I found these two patterns, both by a local artist. The smaller is a make-up bag (the design was meant to carry quilting supplies, like rotary cutter and scissors) with a vinyl window. I hadn't ever used vinyl before, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Of course you have to avoid an iron, but otherwise was pretty much like using a fiber.
The bag is fun - snap closure. It was easy too...maybe I'll need another sometime.
