Orange Crush (OC) Step 2

Finished Step 2 - 142 (plus 6 so I can 'weed' some undesirables out when the time comes!) square in a triangle squares...or whatever they're called. Did the blocks scrappy, although this picture shows many more duplicates than there really are - it will be much scrappier when it's all together, which is quite outside my comfort zone...
Awaiting Step 3.

Painted Garden Shed

My mom, who is also doing the OC but not yet blogging her own blog, is also an avid gardener. She decided recently her garden shed needed to be "updated" and so the result is so darling I couldn't help but post it.

Orange Crush (OC) Step 1

Finally finished step 1 of the Orange Crush...I used a large piece of fabric I bought off a clearance shelf for the "light", which is actually a bit darker, but I think it will be fine. Caroline insisted on being in the picture...

Crumbs jacket example

On the Quiltville chat, someone asked about alternative ways to use "crumbs", or small pieces of fabric. When Elizabeth was little, my mom made this adorable jacket using small pieces of fabric that she layed on top of a base piece and then zig-zaged across, leaving the edges "ragged". It's just adorable and she promised to "blog" how she did it.

Still working on OC

Here are the color choices so far...plus the new dresser we picked up, which I find very cute. I thought it would be nice painted white...my H disagrees. Oh, well.

This was a "block of the month" at a very cute local quilt shop, The Cotton Patch, in Keizer. It's a little too pink for me...

Lizzie's quilt

This is a quilt that my daughter, Elizabeth (Lizzie), made at quilt camp Summer 2007. She was so proud that she entered it in the Fair and won two ribbons (she reminded me of that).

Quilt Pictures

This is a quilt made by my girlfriend, Shawn, and I for another friend (Shannon) to celebrate a work promotion.
